Once Upon A Time

Tonight was supposed to be the start of a new step. Our latest court order changed the instructions for my daughter’s transfers between parents to take place in a nearby police station. The relief I felt when the judge issued this order was huge. Finally, a safe place. Really, it doesn’t get any safer than a police station, right? Our order immediately before this had instructed us to go through a safe exchange program that a local domestic violence organization offers, and he had chosen not to comply by refusing to attend his mandatory intake with them, then when they told me to stop giving out daughter to him until he did it, he called the police (who sided with me) and filed for emergency custody (which also resulted in the judge agreeing that he should have done it and denying his request- and issuing the order for the police…
